MPULSE® INFRARED THERAPY HEALTH BENEFITS

Sweat Out The Toxins
Sunlighten saunas, with the deepest infrared penetration, can help increase
blood flow and perspiration. Sweating is one of the body’s safest and most
natural ways to heal and maintain good health by helping to eliminate toxic
heavy metals, drug residues, and hormone disruptors.

Increase Metabolism & Burn Fat
Sunlighten’s specific near infrared wavelength stimulates sluggish metabolism
and improved fat burning for energy. Increasing core body heat can increase
calorie burn, similar to exercise. Infrared saunas also help with the elimination
of toxins that cause fat storage.

Improve Heart Health
Infrared therapy can help your heart work better by exercising the heart, reducing blood
pressure, and improving circulation.

Reverse Aging & Renew Skin
Near infrared LEDs has been shown to increase collagen and elastin, improving
overall skin appearance. Increased circulation also contributes to faster cell
regeneration, which helps with appearance of scars.

Boost The Immune System
Heating the body from inside can improve the function of the immune system
just like fever can. Therefore, regular Sunlighten sauna use can help reduce the
incidences of cold and flu, and even help you recover faster.

Repair Muscles Faster
Many professional athletes use Sunlighten saunas to recover from their training
and injuries. Sunlighten’s mid infrared spectrum can best penetrate joints and
improve flexibility. Far infrared therapy is known to help with muscle soreness,
whereas near infrared helps with tissue regeneration.

Hello everyone, my name is Brittany! I’ve been a physical therapist for 6 years and decided to specialize in pelvic floor therapy about 3 years ago.

Pelvic floor therapy is truly where my heart and passion lies; it’s such an intimate area of our lives and when dysfunction hits, sometimes we don’t know where to go.

I treat a variety of symptoms, but some main ones include urinary/fecal incontinence (leaking), urinary urgency/frequency, pelvic pain, nocturia (waking at night to urinate), core weakness, diastasis recti, bowel dysfunction, constipation, pain with sex, and pregnancy/post-partum care.

Old school theory was that everyone needed to squeeze their pelvic floor, but this often is not the case. Together, we can discuss what the pelvic floor muscles are, why dysfunction may be occurring, and, ultimately, how to alleviate symptoms to get back to normal.

Given the private topics we cover, I always do my best to provide a comforting environment and, hopefully, a laugh or two! 🙂

When I’m not at work, I am enjoying life with my husband and our two (wild) little boys! We keep life exciting with camping, fishing, hiking, or swimming!

I am VERY excited to start this new adventure at CMR and can’t wait to begin working with you!

Flora grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago. When she was five years old her mother took her to see a ballet called Firebird. At that very moment, she knew what she wanted to be when she grew up. She studied ballet from the time she was eight years old until she was eighteen. She took professional lessons at the American Academy of Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Company and at the Fine Arts Institute. After her ballet career ended, she moved into Chicago to work at The Chicago Board of trade, then the family business but she never felt fulfilled. A friend told her about The Chicago School of Massage Therapy where he took an introductory course in Swedish Massage and realized she loved giving massage almost as much as she loved receiving them. From there, she decided to enroll in their full program and the rest was history… Flora graduated from The Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 1992. There, she found her passion for learning about the human body and helping people get out of pain. She volunteered in the massage tent at the Chicago Marathon and other local sporting events. Being a life long athlete herself, she knew she wanted to work in the area of pain relief. She chose all of her continuing education based on her client’s needs. Flora has extensive training in various techniques such as Neuromuscular Therapy, Orthopedic Massage, Trigger point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Cupping and scraping techniques, as well as Sports Massage. With over thirty years of experience, Flora is dedicated to learning how to best help her clients using various “tools of the trade” so they can continue to live a life that enables them to do the things they love. I am thrilled to be working at CMR to continue being part of a bigger, more encompassing practice with so many integrative therapies to help people feel better!

Dr. Eric was born and raised in Newark, Illinois about 10 miles west of Complete Muscle Recovery Yorkville. He graduated from Newark High School and then earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology (with a pre-medicine emphasis) from Trinity International University, where he also played collegiate basketball.

During a basketball game in high school a broken nose resulted in severe headaches. Traditional pain medication yielded only temporary relief. This frustration drove him to seek the help of a specialist to find the root cause of his own pain, and further study effective treatment options with lasting results.

In 2012, Dr. Eric earned his Doctorate’s Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He immediately began working as a muscle/fascia provider, utilizing hands-on manual therapy & active care rehab exercises to eliminate pain for patients to get back to their lives. He established 4 successful clinics in Texas and Illinois, and now is thrilled to be serving the Yorkville community.

Dr. Eric continues to exclusively treat muscular injuries: fixing sprains, strains, and pains to get patients back to full performance fast. Complete Muscle Recovery often has the cause of pain correctly diagnosed and resolved within 3 visits without the need for injections, drugs, or surgery. His patients can truly live pain-free.

Dr. Eric resides in Lisbon, Illinois. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Rachel, and together they care for their 4 children (Haley, Barrett, Elijah, Westen) and pet Aussiedoodle Ollie. He also enjoys exercise, church activities, and spending time with his family.
